Dr. Sketchy and SPASM festival

Saturday I went to Dr. Sketchy Montreal!

It's the second time I'm attending these drawing events. For those who don't really know what Dr.Sketchy is, well it's a life drawing class, where burlesque dancers or performers pose. There is always a theme at each class. The september class was with Amber Ray and the I Love NY theme and the october class was all about Halloween with the Dead Dolls dance troup.

I'm really improving my drawing skills with those sessions. I think life-drawing is the best way to understand the human body. I'll post some of my drawings once there scanned. The picture have been taken into the september event. And yes it's me :)

I also went to the SPASM festival this saturday night, at Club Soda. It was the TRASH (18 and up...violent, sexual and immature content) section of it. My roomate's movie was selected to be in this category. It was really interesting to see all those shorts and how people can have TWISTED ideas! Special mention to "Une femme comme les autres" by Lawrence Côté-Collins -LC2 Productions. Sadly I didn,t found any links to the movie over the Internet. I had alot of fun, I wish I could have stayed longer. Seeing all those freaky films made by Quebecers was really inspiring!
